I have been an Engineer,

I am a teacher,

I remain a father.

I come from a line of Mackays that tie me to the north of Scotland;

my life was run alongside the romance of the river Thames

and my passion and youth was inspired by the Brecon Beacons

but my heart now stands by the people and land of Aotearoa.

Who I am is the possibility of love and the greatness

and that is who I am.
